DO'S
1. Be sharing, caring and forgiving.
2. Control anger, emotions, carnal desires and furtive
glances.
3. Adopt 'Sabr'.
4. Inculcate tolerance.
5. Adopt steadfastness and consistency in Ibadaat.
6. Recite the Quran extensively and as much as possible
with understanding.
7. Give Zakath and Sadaqah with a good feeling keeping
the concept of collectivism in mind.
8. Sympathise with the poor, needy and the
have-nots ("Muwasaat")
9. Observe discipline, obedience and punctuality.
10. Practise Time-Management.
11. Perform Qyamul layl (Tarawih and Tahajud) without a
break.
12. Do keep yourself busy with Zikr and Duas.
13. Keep Rozas with enthusiasm.
14. Perform Nawafil prayers whenever you find time.
15. Look forward eagerly to obtain the blessings of
Laylathul Qadr by observing Etikaaf if possible and pray all night atleast in
the odd nights of the last ten days and not on 27th night

DONT'S
1. Don't turn the month of Fasting into feasting.
2. Don't waste time backbiting, gossiping, chatting and
arguing.
3. Don't enter into controversies, conflicts and
quarrels.
4. Don't pay too much emphasis on food and drinks
especially during Iftar time and don't spend too much time in kitchen either.
5. Don't waste time by over-sleeping.
6. Don't mix fasting with dieting.
7. Don't shop during Ramadan.
8. Don't watch television even if it maybe News channels.
9. Don't ask anyone "Are you fasting ?"
10. Don't delay Iftaar and don't miss Suhoor.
11. Don't conduct or attend ceremonial Iftaars.
12. Don't miss the Fardh Ibadaah especially the Isha
salaah with Jamaath.
13, Don't make yourself appear dull or present excuses on
account of your fasting.
14. Don't keep hopping from mosque to mosque because you
may miss the sequence of hearing the entire Quraan.
15.Pay Zakaath correctly but ensure you also clear your
loans and dues.
